A formvar coated grid, stabilized with evaporated carbon film. This type of coating is excellent for specimen support, especially for ultra thin sections. Coated grids are optically checked followed by batch testing in the electron microscope. Packed in grid storage box. NOTE: All film is laid on the shiny side of the grid. Formvar is approximately 10 nm thick with 1 nm of carbon.

Electron Microscopy Sciences PS4R with UKAS certificate
These stage micrometers are available with a calibration certificate that provides traceability for the precise calibration and confirmation of accuracy of optical measuring instruments, necessary under ISO provisions. The glass discs are mounted in stainless steel slides with engraved serial numbers. Each slide is supplied in a polished wooden storage case. A UKAS accredited laboratory carries out measurements at selected points on the scales and grids and issues a calibration certificate. Reflected light stage micrometer with 0.1" scale subdivided to 0.001".
Electron Microscopy Sciences Variable Size Geological Thin Section Holder, Hitachi M4
This thin section holder is made from vacuum grade aluminum with copper clips and brass screws . The unit measures 51x32x8 mm and holds either standard thin sections of 47 x 27 mm or smaller or larger thin sections. Smallest size would be 40x20 mm. The holder comes complete with 2 clips to insure nothing moves. The holder has convenient tweezer inserts which allow for easy loading.
